888 Holdings Joins PartyGaming in Talks With US

Online casino and poker giant 888 Holdings Plc has followed the prompt of rival PartyGaming Plc by instigating talks hide the United States Department of Charter.

PartyGaming Plc announced on Monday that discussions hide the US Attorney's Office situation being in process to identify its stance in relation to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.

888 Holdings Plc are counselled by the same legal practice as PartyGaming Plc, Freshfields, which may provide an explanation as to why 888 has followed suit with its actions.

Although 888 Holdings Plc has ceased its operations in the US, it is rumoured that the UIGEA was one point of contention in Ladbrokes potential purchase of the company.

888 Holdings Plc remained wary of speculating on the potential outcome of the talks but confirmed it would update the public on any developments "if and when appropriate."
