Century Casinos Completes Alberta Deal

Century Casinos, Inc. (Nasdaq: CNTY; Vienna Stock Exchange) announced today that the Company has completed the previously announced purchase of the 43.6% interest in Century Resorts Alberta, Inc. ("CRA") that was owned by a non-affiliated minority shareholder. CRA is constructing the Celebrations Casino and Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The purchase price was 7.3 million CAD (approximately $6.3 million) and was approved by Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission.

The Company paid 5.8 million CAD (approximately $5 million) at closing with the remainder payable on the first anniversary of the opening of the Celebrations Casino and Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Century Casinos Inc., through its wholly owned subsidiary, Century Resorts International Ltd., now owns 100% of the project.
