Tuesday December 04, 2007
Swedish online casino software developer Boss Media has announced that Britain's PokerTrillion.com has become the latest licensee to join its International Poker Network.
PokerTrillion.com stated that it would offer a range of freerolls and tournaments using the IPN along with giving players up to 30 percent rakeback. In addition, the company said that it would subsidise up to half of a player's entry fee if they used their rakeback to enter a European poker tournament.
The new poker room stated that it has big ambitions for next year including the launch of a PokerTrillion Poker League in January with a $109,860 cash fund earmarked for the top 25 players each month. It said that it would also sponsor the year's top 50 players at a European Poker Tour game.
PokerTrillions.com's Chief Executive Officer, Andy Pyrah, spent four years at Matchroom Sport where he served as the right hand man to Chairman Barry Hearn. During this time he managed a number of different roles within televised sport including heading up the poker division, which expanded from one televised event a year to eight annual televised events. He also helped to develop the PGA EuroPro Tour Golf, the Budweiser UK Open Darts and organised the first pay-per-view Sky Box Office darts event between Phil 'The Power' Taylor and Andy 'The Viking' Fordham.
