Celeb Poker launches new league

Since the days when poker was a game played on the Mississippi Riverboats, and travelling card sharks would compete for 'table superiority' and bragging rights, poker players have always looked for ways to prove that they are better than one and other. Well, now there will be no argument, as Celeb Poker today announced the launch of their brand new online poker league.

Their new online poker league will be run as a monthly competition for all Celeb Poker players, factoring in a unique points system to ensure that only the best players rise to the top of the table. Indeed, with a staggering EUR51,000 to be won every month, the lofty position at the top of the leader-board is definitely a place that poker players will want to finish.

From 1st February, players at Celeb Poker will have the chance to accrue league points in 21 weekly tournaments, with a choice of 3 tournaments per day running at different times to suit. At these tournaments players will be able to generate league points based on three factors: the position they finish, the number of players taking part in the tournament and how much it cost to the buy-in, with the final number of points calculated by multiplying these three factors together. The online poker league is free to enter and, quite simply, the more points that a player can amass over a monthly period, the higher they will soar up the TOP 20 leader-board and the bigger cash prize they will win!
