Wednesday May 14, 2008
The Gibraltar-based online gambling group Mansion Poker has joined Ethoca, the international network for collaborative fraud management, joining a number of other online poker and Internet gaming firms already collaborating within the anti-fraud network.
Besides online gaming operators, Ethoca members include financial providers and internet retailers. The network allows online businesses to increase profitability by distinguishing between reliable and unreliable transactions which reduces losses and the threat of non-payment.
According to recent research, e-businesses can recover a total of over GBP 15 billion in previously foregone annual revenue via better fraud management .
Mansion (Gibraltar) Limited CEO Guy Gussarsky said, "Offering the best value in online gaming means we must continue to stay at the cutting edge of fraud prevention, to offer the best possible protection for our members. Ethoca's innovative platform for anti-fraud collaboration is unique and allows Mansion to benefit from the payment experiences of other companies. It is a real breakthrough in fraud management."
Ethoca President and CEO Andre Edelbrock said, "The online gaming industry is strongly on board with the idea of collaborating to stop fraud, with four of the top five, and many more of the top 50 already committed to working together through Ethoca's Community. Most fraud management is about reducing risk; Ethoca is unique because we're also about increasing revenues."
