Merge Gaming Network was first to publicly announce they would block IP addresses of Kentucky residents to any of their network sites. Now, Microgaming Poker Network has made it known they too will begin blocking Kentucky residents, starting Oct 30, 2008.

The move comes after a judge last week upheld the seizure order for 141 online gaming domain names requested by Kentucky Governor Beshear, with a caveat- to avoid having their domain name seized, the sites have until November 17, 2008 to prove they block access to Kentucky residents.

This means that Microgaming will now block acess to their online poker and online casinos products from residents of 13 U.S. states: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin and Utah.

The Microgaming Poker Network includes such sites as Cool Hand Poker, Crazy Poker, Doyles Room, Ladbrokes Poker, Poker Host and Poker Time.

Sites on the Merge Gaming Network include Carbon Poker, Reefer Poker, Poker Nordica and Walker Poker.
