Celeb Poker Moves to the iPoker Network
Tuesday August 04, 2009
On August 12, leading online poker room Celeb Poker will move its poker operations from Boss Media to Playtech's iPoker network, boosting monthly guaranteed online poker tournaments to well over $20 million.
The move comes after the UK-based company conducted a detailed review of its existing online operations, before concluding that customers would benefit greatly from the cutting edge technology offered by Playtech. The advanced software platform includes a huge range of gaming and table features that will enhance the poker experience for all players.
Immediate benefits to the players include, being able to compete against 35,000 other cash players on the tables and becoming part of Celeb Poker's VIP Club - one of the most aggressive and competitive rewards programmes of any internet poker room. In addition, the poker room will be unveiling an exciting new tournament schedule, which will give players the chance to compete for incredible cash prize pools and progressive jackpots and win sponsored packages to play in the world's most coveted poker events.
"Since 2003, we have always tried to offer our players the best possible poker experience available on the internet," said David Donovan, Founder of Celeb Poker. "And after many successful years with Boss Media, we felt that the game had moved on and we needed to offer our players more. The iPoker network is held in very high regard by our valued customers. So we listened to them."
"This represents a great move and a major step forward for Celeb Poker. Not only will players benefit from monthly jackpots that are 20 times greater than before, but some of the promotions and sponsored packages on offer are breathtaking."
The fact that iPoker is the fastest growing network in the global gaming market was the driving force behind Celeb Poker's decision to move to the Playtech offering. It is also the first signal of intent as Celeb Poker look to challenge industry front runners Pokerstars and Full Tilt, on their mission to make online poker bigger, better and more accessible for all players.
David Donovan added, "To celebrate the move over to iPoker we'll be hosting a Welcome Freeroll poker tournament worth $10,000, on September 17th. This will be open to all depositing players, giving them the opportunity to test out the all new Celeb Poker absolutely free. Good luck."
