Titan Poker Players Win Top Prizes in Opening ECOOP V Online Tournament

Titan Poker players took the top prizes at the opening event of the European Championship of Online Poker ECOOP V series, which kicked off on November 23. Player "thanasis1982" from Greece captured first place and its prize of $52,500, while player "avalika" from France finished in second place with a prize of $27,500.

The first event of the two-week ECOOP V series was a $250,000 Guaranteed Prize, No Limit Hold'em Freezeout Tournament with a buy-in of $200+$15. "thanasis1982" outlasted 1,240 other starters in an online tournament that lasted 9 hours and 17 minutes. In addition to his cash prize, "thanasis1982" will be awarded a prestigious Tag Heuer automatic chronograph series Carrera watch, engraved with his nickname and the name of the online tournament that he won.

Second place finisher "avalika" was very happy with his tournament play. "That was one of my best moments on the Net, after seeing so many passionate players," he said afterwards, calling the win "an extra sensation." The French player was extremely grateful to Titan Poker, especially due to the fact that he played on Titan Poker's behalf at the recently concluded ECPokerTour tournament staged in Malta.

The ECOOP V series continues nightly at Titan Poker and offers a wide variety of poker games, including Texas No Limit Hold'em, Limit Hold'em, 7 Card Stud, Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo. The series culminates with a $1,500,000 Guaranteed Prize Main Event on December 6.
