Design Competition Rewards Online Poker Players

Two poker-playing design enthusiasts have each been awarded with $1,000 courtesy of Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker and their Poker Table Skin Design Contest.

The poker sites revealed that entries from 'PATATTACK333' and 'JUSTIN749' picked up the top honours and will be featured on the sites in the very near future while both designers are also set to enjoy a VIP travel package to the ongoing World Series Of Poker in Las Vegas.

"When I saw the Poker Table Skin Design Contest I knew it was for me," said 'JUSTIN749', a 32-year-old entrepreneur from Miami, Florida, who drew inspiration from the works of Italian renaissance painter Michelangelo.

"I put long hours and hard work into creating these skins. To have it pay off like this is a dream come true. I am very proud to have something I worked on get recognised by Absolute Poker and honoured to have my skin on the site for everyone to use if they wish.

"Thanks to Absolute Poker for having great promotions that are like no other and now I am really pumped to go to Vegas to represent Absolute Poker."

The winning design from 'PATATTACK333', a 29-year-old artist from Phoenix, Arizona, was entitled Spaceship and invites a futuristic look at the sport of poker.

Both designers will receive a prize package that includes airfare for two to Las Vegas during the World Series Of Poker alongside four nights' accommodation, $1,000 in spending money and an invitation to Ultimate Bet's exclusive VIP party on the 33rd floor of the Mandarin Hotel.

"The Poker Table Skin Design Contest was the perfect challenge for graphic designers, artists and students," read a joint statement from Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet.

"Competition entries were required to be creative, appropriate and respectful of the brands' logos, visually pleasing to poker players and flexible enough to be used on all table formats, be they ring games, multi-table tournaments, heads-up or short-handed.
