888's independent B2B division Dragonfish has announced the signing of two new partners to the soon to be launched 888/Microgaming French poker network.

The company said Tuesday that AD Astra and Full Fun, which both received licence approval yesterday to offer online poker in France, will join the recently formed joint liquidity poker network.

Commenting on the signings, acting MD of Dragonfish and CEO of 888 Holdings Plc, Gigi Levy, said: "In newly regulated markets it is important for partners to create a shared pool of liquidity, benefiting customers and assisting in rapidly generating large poker networks.

"These agreements will pave the way for others in the pipeline to follow, helping us to build this liquidity and benefit from the opportunities available in the French market."

Shares in 888 Holdings Plc are trading down 2 per cent in London this morning at 47.00 pence per share.
