Grand Prive Launches New Tournament Feature

The Grand Prive Group of online casinos has announced the launch of an innovative addition to its gaming software with the introduction of the new tournament feature.

Tournaments are real-time organized competitions that pit a number of players against one another for a prize and can currently be played on various classic slots, video slots and blackjack variants. Video Poker and other games will be added in the near future.

According to Sonia Bradshaw, Grand Prive spokesperson, the tournaments will bring an added dimension of excitement to game play and add an element of realism for players. "Tournaments will open up a new world of entertainment, competition and action to our players, and have been launched due to player demand."

Players will be able participate in any number of tournaments which can last minutes, hours or days, and play using credits.

"The tournaments are classified as Sit and Go, where they begin immediately once a pre-determined number of players join; and Scheduled, where the tournament begins at a designated date and time, and has a minimum and maximum player count," says Bradshaw.

The tournament functionality has been added to the existing software and is easily accessible via a button in the main casino lobby. Players are directed to a dedicated tournament lobby where all active tournaments are shown, participants are ranked on a leaderboard and prize details are shown. Participants, as well as other players, can track the progress of tournaments and competitors.

"While playing, participants can keep an eye on their progress, as well as that of other players, via the credit account window that details the player’s position and number of credits.
