William Hill Poker Players Enjoy Smoking Hot July
Saturday August 06, 2011
William Hill Poker players were the first on the ipoker network to win prize packages to the 2011 World Series of Poker, and were represented well at the event with over 40 players in attendance. Of these, four players cashed for almost $100,000 between them.
Team William Hill had two cashes in WSOP Side Event #48. WH player Supershurf finished in 126th position for $3,662, while KTFO picked up $4,651 for his 99th place finish. They carried this good momentum into the Main Event, where I_appreciate_it finished 308th for $35,492, and SRAWLE improved on this with a whopping $54,851 for his impressive 115th place finish.
On top of this incredible performance at the event, Team William Hill players were treated to exclusive events and some exciting social activities.
William Hill players then moved online to dominate the biggest tournaments, winning over $100,000 in the weekend's biggest guaranteed tournaments. This included WH player's nsc49 and 1Srslyfu who bagged 1st and 2nd spot in the 'Sunday $200,000'.
"We've always known our top players can go toe to toe with the best in the world," said Rory Cartwright, William Hill's Poker Manager. "Team William Hill players performed brilliantly at the 2011 WSOP, and then managed to take the top two places in the Sunday $200k - which is the biggest online tournament on the ipoker network!"
