The results point to a strong second quarter for Playtech, despite the period being a traditionally weak time in the online gambling industry. Avigur Zmora, CEO of Playtech, commented on the figures by saying, ?Playtech has shown very strong growth over the past quarter. Both Casino and Poker revenues continue to grow and our policy of geographical diversification continues on track. It is also very encouraging to see the progress in our development pipeline. We look forward to the second half of the year with confidence.?

Other indicators show that Playtech has 42 active licensees operating 137 sites, which is an increase of 22 new game sites on the previous quarter. The new platforms and products development incorporates Videobet, Mobile and Mahjong, with a continued focus on the Asian market which has seen a 17% revenue increase on the first quarter. Results also show a decrease in revenue from the US.
