Betsson Poker Revenue Falls 21 Percent in 2011

Online gaming operator Betsson Plc, owner of Betsson Poker, saw its poker revenue fall 21.4 percent in 2011 to SEK83.9 million from SEK106.7 million in 2010. This follows a drop of 19 percent in 2010 and 17 percent in 2009.
Fourth quarter 2011 poker revenue was SEK24.8 million, up 15 percent on the previous quarter's SEK21.5 million but down seven percent on the SEK26.7 million recorded in the same period of 2010.
In the final quarter of 2011 poker accounted for just 5.7 percent of overall gross profit at the company compared to 6.8 percent in the fourth quarter of 2010 and 10.1 percent in the last quarter of 2009.
Despite the decline in poker Betsson, which operates an online sportsbook, casino, bingo and games, saw overall revenue grow to SEK515.2 million in 2011 from SEK484.3 million in 2010.
